Married at Maravu Resort - Wedding locations
Maravu Plantation Beach Resort & Spa provides a number of different
wedding locations. Couples may choose a beach wedding, with the
soft sand of Maravu's own beach beside the ocean. Feel the sand
beneath your feet and say your vows before the setting sun. Or maybe
have your wedding at the Resort's hilltop open-air wedding bure,
with panoramic views of the ocean and distant islands. surrounded
by tropical flowers and coconut palms. Maravu also can arrange a
wedding in a traditional Fijian village, at a secluded rainforest
waterfall or on its own "honeymoon island" - a small uninhabited
island just offshore from Taveuni.
Maravu Resort Wedding Packages and Inclusions
As you can suspect, Maravu Resort - well-known as a Fiji honeymoon
and wedding destination - offer a wide range of wedding packages
at their Taveuni haven. Their beach or waterfall weddings are the
same cost and include the Fijian minister, kava ceremony, Maravu
wedding cake, bouquet and salusalu (floral leis), registration and
certificate, and serenades by the Maravu band boys. The Deluxe wedding
has all that, plus 10-15 Fijian choir, traditional Fijian meke (dance),
a wedding feast, champagne for the wedding couple etc. Finally,
their Grand Fijian Deluxe wedding also includes a traditional Fijian
Bilibili (sea raft) to carry the bride to the ceremony and extras
also. Wedding couples get to plant a sprouting coconut, with carved
sign, to commemorate their special day.
Maravu Wedding requirements
Maravu always try to accommodate special requests. Maravu does require
a minimum 5-night stay, and the wedding is not able to be held on
a Sunday due to Fijians' attendance at their churches. Maravu is
